Swedish educational board for Clinic Trials

Katarina Engman at Umbilicus Nordica was awarded a Diploma in Clinical Trials by The Swedish Educational Board for Clinical Trials1 in 1996.

The Diploma in Clinical Trials is a mark of thorough knowledge and experience in clinical trials.

Furthermore, Katarina Engman has a Bachelor of Sciences and more than 25 years of experience in planning, organising and effecting clinical trials. She is a member of the Swedish Society for Clinical Trials.

The long experience has resulted in an extensive network of scientists and clinicians in Sweden as well as in other countries, thanks to long-lasting working relations at different hospitals.

Remarks

Umbilicus Nordica was the first company who submitted and got approval of a clinical trial in the European Community (EC) according to the Directive 2001/20/EC on clinical trials.

Furthermore, the trial was GCP inspected by the CA in Sweden where the outcome of the inspection was excellent.

1. The Swedish Educational Board for Clinical Trials a non-profit, multi-disciplinary body, including representatives from the different interests engaged in clinical trials. This includes regulatory authorities, ethics committees, medical and pharmaceutical faculties and industry. The aim of the Educational Board is to promote high quality of clinical trials.
